Holy cow, we go to bed and all hell breaks loose. After Matt posted that Bomani told him a flight today would determine where John Wall would be playing basketball next year, Slam Magazine wrote that Wall had in fact committed to UK last night. And, just in case you are the kind of person that needs to hear it from two places, Bomani confirmed this morning that Wall had in fact committed to the finest University in the land.
So, get up and celebrate, folks. It was a long, strange ride, but the Cats finally got my man crush the type of point guard who can make them a preseason favorite for a title. Make no mistake, John Wall is that special of a player. Tody is a HUGE day.

You know the amazing thing about this? UK went into Duke’s backyard and stole a North Carolina kid. Patterson was a great get because he was also considering Duke, but he only lived a few miles from the Kentucky border. Wall is a North Carolina product, grew up watching UNC, Duke and NC State basketball. The first two have no love for Kentucky. A guy from North Carolina going to Kentucky is *big time*.

Rejoice people, this is a day worth celebrating. Two point guards means no more dribbling off the knees at half court … with no one guarding you. Two giant centers means no more Patrick being forced to play the 5. Also means the only traveling Perry Stevenson will be doing is via Travelosity. Dodson means we may actually have another competent shooter.
Cal came in to a slop mess and turned it back in to royalty again. This season is going to be one to remember for years to come.
