Bill Self must be a hell of a salesman, that’s all I’ll say.
Option 1:
-Play in front of the best fan base in college hoops.
-Play with your friends and have the time of your life in one of the most special seasons in college basketball history.
-Play for a coach who will make you better in one year’s time.
-Join a team where your position is the one weak point.
Option 2:
-Play in front of a fan base who tore you to a million pieces just based off a rumor that you might be leaving.
-Play amidst an established bunch who quite frankly didn’t need you after last season.
-Play for a great coach, but not THE NBA factory that Cal is.

For as pissed as I am that we got blue balled again by this recruitment, I do honestly feel bad for this kid too. The fan base he’s chosen to play for hates his guts now, and I imagine his team mates won’t forget this saga anytime soon either. Then you had his Mom essentially guilt tripping him to go where she wanted him to, then when he gets the chance to make the choice himself Bill Self comes in and does the same damn thing.

Small chance he ends up at UK, like I always told you (meaning what he
has been telling me).
Don’t believe the Xavier staying at KU rumors just yet.
The proKU site putting the “X staying at KU” rumors out there has nothing
to lose by doing it. If X stays with KU (which he is most likely to do) then
they look like they have the “first inside take” on the Henrys. If X ends
up going to UK then all they did was make Xavier look even more like he
can’t make a decision, then he already does. That would fit a proKU sites
agenda.
either way the site putting out the Xavier information has nothing to
lose by doing so.
Don’t rule out UK’s slim chance just yet.

Needless to say I bought them a lot of beers today, I got bits and pieces

How many teams talk to Lance Stephensen? He had not signed with anyone. Not to mention, Xavier held a presser saying he was going to Kansas so he is pretty much a part of the team. #185 Yeah, according to the guys I played golf with today, who would
be know, that every pickup game is the Wall/Bledsoe show. They go
at it. They said neither one can stop the other defensively. That is
just how good they both are.
They did say that Wall is just simply better. They said if you had a scale
from 1-10 (1 being the worst/10 the best) that Bledsoe is a 10. However,
Wall is like a 15.
According to the guys I played golf with Wall and Bledsoe been teaming up
together during pickup games lately and nobody can stop them.
Don’t forget that right now it is hard from them to play pickup games because

Okay, Pilgrim was a bad example but you get my point with X.
I am in the minority that does not want X. Not because I don’t think we could use him; but for other reasons. He has a family that is too involved, he doesn’t care about school and I think it could make it more of a circus atmosphere.
We have some talented players and a few that should jump next year. Our APR is going to take a hit and with X, it could be an even bigger hit. He will likely only take 12 credit hours first semester and then bail once the season is over. At least Wall and others are taking classes so once they leave, they will have completed their frosh year. X will be less than halfway through and be a huge hit on the APR.
All that being said, once he changes his mind again next week, I will gladly cheer as his sweet lefty shot brings rain from 34 feet out and I will support him because he is wearing Blue and White. If he doesn’t, I could care less what happens to him.

They said that Bledsoe and Wall both make Harrellson look really good.
They do things to make everyone look good. They draw defenders away from
other players and then find a way to get their teammates the ball in a position
to score an easy basket. Harrellson have good hands and a good offensive game,
makes Harrellson that much better just because Wall and Bledsoe are on the
court.

They said on defense you can’t tell much in the pickup games other
than the guys who are just to slow, to weak, or not athletic enough.
Defensively they said all you can really tell is that Wall and Bledsoe
are can obviously defend any guards in the country, just not each other, LOL!
Cousins has some defensive footwork problems, mainly to do with the fact he
just doesn’t care and that Stevenson has the experience to know how to take
advantage of Cousin’s lack of footwork.
Cousins tries to reach when blocking a shot instead of jumping.
Other things: Hood is much better than people think. Eventhough it is hard
to tell from a pickup game how good someone is, you can pick up the fact that
Hood can score easily from anywhere on the court and being 6′7 can just
simply shoot over people. Hard to guard Hood and he has no fear!
I know if I can say this or not: Can you say, without it being a violation,
if a HS kid has been playing pickup games with the team off and on?
