Someone needs to intervene and tell Cal that Papa John’s is the primary corporate sponsor of the Filthy Cards football stadium! Don’t eat that, Cal! Plus, there’s MUCH better pizza to be had in Lexington…ever heard of Brooklyn Pizza???
Just a thought. I love the effort in restoring the program’s brand. However, the most passionate Cat fan could give a sh_t about branding and many don’t even understand the concept. For most UK fans it has always been about “oursen’s” will always beat “yoursens”. I am a huge Cal fan and I lobbied hard for him on several message boards (as if that matters) 2 years ago.
I’m following Cal on Facebook and Twitter. I preordered “Bounce Back”. I bought the “Witness T” and ordered a new sweatshirt. I am just very respectfully asking whether he might slow down a bit on the marketing until he gets a “W”.
Having said that, I understand the pizza deal is for his charity. No need to ever back off on soliciting dollars for a good cause even if you use a mediocre pizza to accomplish that. I’m just saying.
@coach cal: And once that cheese backs up your motion offense - whoa baby! Let me recommend my peeps at DulcaLax - they’re huge Cat fans and crazy good at getting things going and helping you bounce back. Speaking of getting things going - this season is gonna be nuts!! And Bounce Back — preorder now!!!
12…how can you say MEDIOCRE pizza…papa johns is one of the most recognized pizza industries in the world..ther nationwide man…COME ON..the more big names that CAL gets in tight with, the better for our appearance!…GO BIG BLUE!!!!!
You all know that Pizza Hut sued Papa’s to tell them quit saying it’s better for you because of the ingredience than the “other nation brand…..so I’ll root for anyone and anything that comes from the great state of Ky….But this just might piss off little Ricky in Looserville…huh! Eat it all up John!
If anyone thinks that Papa John hanging out with Cal is a UL vs. UK thing is a moron. Papa John is a businessman. He has already dumped his money into UL, now he is striking while the iron is hot here and getting maximum exposure for his company with our new coach.
Smart businessmen make smart moves. This being one of them. Guarantee some of our fans order Papa John’s tonight because of this.

UK is also sponsored by Papa Johns. They’d be ticked if he endorsed any other pizza.

While Papa John’s is closer to the Craft Center, I would go the extra mile to get Puccini’s Smiling Teeth.
