You may have noticed that this year’s football team is a musical bunch. Whether it is Dicky Lyons rapping, Rafeal Little singing or Moncell Allen taking film of everything under the sun, this is a group that loves that lyrical sound. But none may be more prolific than Freshman Defensive Back Randall Burden. For you see, Burden is becoming a legend not only on the field, but in the more important areas of dorm room dance offs. You may remember his first performance, the “Crank Dat Soulja Boy” remix better known for the Dicky Lyons “stomach rub.”:
But now there is more…..oh yes, much more. For reasons that I dont understand, but I do like, Randall Burden is now filming himself dancing in his dorm room. Thus we have the following videos of him breaking it down, occasionally with some interesting special effects added to the mix:
So Randall is becoming a dance star, and in so doing, making a name for himself with all the ladies of UK. Not necessarily quite as star forming are these three guys who play football for Bullitt County…..they too are doing the “Soulja Boy”, but I am not sure the effect is quite the same…..I do know this however, Bullitt County football should be proud, oh so proud….

God I hate Bullitt County even more now, I can’t wait to move. The new golf course however is insanely awesome.

Hopefully Burden’s moves are better on the field. You always hear of football players taking ballet classes to improve their game, why not his style of dance. The last video made me feel like I was on some major drugs (like vision tracks)– he does some good special effects editting (the spider web for example). He’s quite the entertainer, bet he’s fun to be around.

Poor #31 on the Bullitt County video– he seems to be able to dance, but he sticks out like a sore thumb. Its either the pale legs or heinous jean shorts. EEEKKK

Ok now granted I am not a fan of myspace giving every one and their mother’s uncle a voice I do find youtube to be quite hilarious to watch at work when bored off my ass especially if they involve are very talented athletes at UK.

The one in the middle from Bullitt County plays for North Bullitt High School. R.D. Reynolds, very very good player I think has been offered by Arkansaw among others and I think is going to sign with Ark. He plays safety.

With Superman and Spiderman already in the books, I wonder what Superhero Soulja Boy is planning on tapping into next? Batman would be the logical next step, but I think you could make some pretty ill moves with a “Swamp Thing” theme. But I will leave that up to Soulja Boy, as my handle on the hip-hop market is slightly ahead of Andy Rooney’s.

Bullitt County is an armpit. Loved watching Kevin Crisp cry his senior year after we ruined their undefeated regular season. Also loved watching Ricky Spears quit the hoops team after we ran them. Good times.
